How do you fancy meeting the wildlife of the Mediterranean up close and personal? From monkeys to parrots and whales to anteaters Loro Parque or in English ‘Parrot Park’ is so much more than just parrots but an animal sanctuary with many different animals to visit. In fact it was voted as the world’s best zoo in 2017 – 2018 and has been open to the public since 1972. Loro Park in Tenerife is a great fun for all ages.
Loro Parque has received numerous awards through the decades and remains dedicated to a sustainable park that not only provides the public with access to many wild animals but also promotes environmental sustainability.
There are many areas to explore in the park and as well as hundreds of different animals there are many exhibitions and alternate activities by which you are sure to be entertained. In the mammals area you can expect to see Sloths, Red Pandas, Tigers and many marine mammals like the famous Orca, Sea Lions and Dolphins. Loro Parque also boasts a fantastic aquarium that is home to Catfish, and freshwater Stingrays, as well as colourful and curious Pacus. Of course any visit wouldn’t be completed without meeting the reptiles such as Alligators, Tortoises and Iguanas. Finally, the foundations of the park lie upon the numerous species of parrots and birds that are still found in the park to this day.
The exhibitions available in the park, range from stunning underwater zen gardens to Kinderlandia a park designed for the kids to burn off some energy while being at one with nature. There is also a Thai village and Penguin worlds to name but a few. The bottom line is that Loro Parque holds something for everyone and you can all enjoy a full day out here.

Loro Park in Tenerife is open everyday from 8:30 AM to 6:45 PM
Buses leave daily from the south of Tenerife.
Buses leave from Los Gigantes every Monday and Thursday.
Loro Parque is open every day from 08:30 – 18:45. You may wish to travel to the park using the Loro Parque Express. This is a free transportation service that takes visitors from Plaza de Los Reyes Católicos (downtown) to Loro Parque and return.

This is a basic ticket. It is your responsibility to make your way to the park and back to your hotel. This ticket entitles you to one entry to the park only. The adult ticket is valid for 11 yrs and over. Childrens tickets are available for children aged between 6 and 11 years of age. Children between 0 and 5 years may enter the park free of charge.
This is an entrance ticket that also includes a transfer service by bus from the South to Loro Parque. You will arrive at Loro Parque at 10:00 and return back to the South at 17:00.
