How about visting a second Canary Island during your stay? Even an island as beautiful as Fuerteventura can leave you wanting to explore a little further so why not take advantage of the regular ferry companies to the neighbouring island of Lanzarote? Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Spanish Canary Islands, while Lanzarote is the fourth largest and at the northernmost and easternmost point of the archipelago, meaning it is the closest to the African coastline at a distance of 70 miles approximately.
With this easy access it is possible to undertake a day tour to the larger Island, giving you a greater knowledge of this wonderful group of Islands. The more you travel, the more you feel at home here in these sub Saharan landscapes and volcanic backdrops. Even the relatively short journey from one island to another can leave you mesmerised by the scenery you encounter along the way and can only leave you thirsty to visit even more.
There is only one ferry route travelling between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. This leaves Corralejo for Playa Blanca, in Lanzarote, time for the sailing is around 25 minutes. Times can vary due to weather situations or demand, so should be checked in advance of any travel plans.

Lanzarote ferry from Fuerteventura is departing everyday at 10:30 am, 1:30 pm, 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
There are no hotel transfers for the ferry. You need to make your way to the harbour.
