The tour runs every morning at 10:00 am and at 2:00 pm, weather and numbers permitting, throughout the summer season. Times may vary throughout the winter as The Canary Islands are a year round holiday destination.Â
You will be picked up at your hotel and brought to the Kayaking centre and prepared thoroughly for the adventure ahead. Always in the safe hands of the instructor you will become familiar with your kayak and learn how to handle it in the gentler waters just off the beach.Â
You will have the choice to ride a single kayak or a double and since your kayak experience will take place in the shallow waters around La Lajita you will also be able to enjoy the snorkelling experience that goes alongside this kayaking day tour. La Lajita is the perfect snorkelling paradise from where you kayak to hidden coves. The rich diversity of the island will become as crystal clear as the blue Atlantic waters.
Based in La Lajita, your transport will pick you up from your hotel and take you directly to the meet point at the Kayak school. The transport is free if you are arriving from the southern part of the island and then a short walk to the beach from the centre takes about five minutes This is basically sea kayaking and you will be kayaking along the coast line and the fairly shallow atlantic waters. This is classed as an easy tour, where your instructors will be multi lingual with German, English, Russian, Polish and Spanish widely spoken by the staff and before you get into your kayak, your instructor will brief you on safety techniques.Â
After this you will be ready to embark upon your adventure. The kayaking lasts around two hours and a stop is made for snorkelling which lasts around thirty minutes Most of the spots are only accessible by sea and the marine life is an added bonus to your day. Once returned to the School at La Lajita your transport will take you back to your original pick up point
