This tour goes out every day.
The tour leaves at approximately 09:00from the departure point in Playa del Ingles from where your convoy will set off. Please contact us for further information on how to arrive at the departure point.
You will then head towards the Tirajana ravine and the Sorrueda Dam. Your next stop will be a visit to the Ansite fortress which was the site of one of the last stands that locals made against Spanish invasion.
You will then make a short stop at Santa Lucia de Tirajana which is a bustling seaside town ideal for taking a stroll among the vibrant colours adorning the shop windows. From here you will head to another beautiful town named San Bartolome de Tirajana which is picturesque to say the least set in the mountains heading towards the sea and beaches at Maspalomas. You will set off next for the Mil Palmeras or ‘thousand palms’ valley which is every bit as stunning as its name suggests.
Perhaps one of the quaintest stops along the way will be at Fataga, a traditional Gran Canarian village full of cobbled walkways and traditional Canarian architecture. This is a perfect chance for you to do see how the islanders live as you take a walk through the traditional village.
You will finally make your way to La Mosca viewpoint where you will have an opportunity to take some snaps of the rolling dunes down at Maspalomas before heading down to the dunes themselves. Here you will have the opportunity to take a camel ride at a small extra cost should you so wish.
You will return to the starting point at approximately 15:00 feeling happy and fulfilled.
You will be accompanied throughout the day by a professional tour guide who will be on hand to give you expert information about the Island and of course to answer any question that you may wish to ask. Full insurance is included in the price of the trip.
Gran Canaria Jeep Safari is 59 € for adults, 45 € for children between 4 – 11 years old, 0 € for infants under 3 years old.
Lunch is not included in the tour but you are welcome to bring snacks with you or spend some time grabbing a bite to eat at one of the stops along the way.
The jeeps have a capacity of 7 persons including the driver.
You will be out for approximately 6 hours weather and traffic permitting.
