Tenerife is home to two main observatories belonging to the Canary Islands Institute of Astrophysics located at Teide and in La Palma.  These observatories and telescopes are used by astronomers from across the globe to observe the night sky.  The Roque de los Muchachos Observatory in La Palma is considered to be the darkest place on Earth, where artificial light only brightens the night sky by 2 percent, making this the perfect spot to witness the stars.

This tour is not only perfect for stargazing but also to experience the lunar like landscapes created by Teide’s lava flows.  You will have the opportunity to see both the Heavens and the Earth in a way that very few have the privilege to do so.  This tour is ideal for keen astronomers who appreciate an element of romance.
